PERSONAL UPDATES
What have I been up to? Last check-in was around Halloween and I was testing a few things. How did they go?
Santa 100 = WIN - First roll completed and lovely results, review & video/blog coming once I’ve shot a couple more rolls.
CatLabs 320 = FAIL (my fault), shot in my Bessa L, either my meter is now faulty or the film did not get along with my new Obsidian Aqua developer but I was able to rescue only one single image…barely…

BLOGGING
I wrote a few additional sparky and at times “tongue-in-cheek” articles for eclectachrome.com. Initially when I started Substack, I intended it to be a place to “blog” but found that I wanted to write more than the bi-weekly schedule and didn’t want to blow up your inbox too much. So if you are interested in reading a few additional film-obsessed articles, here they are:
FPP Mummy Results (photographed by Mike in a turn of events)
INSPIRATION STRIKES
Inspiration for photography comes from many different sources and our brains love variety. So here is a non-photography related recommendation if you feel like you need a healthy break from taking in photography content. One that will get you laughing, which we all know is a very effective way to exercise (or so I tell myself):
OFF MENU PODCAST with James Acaster and another man called Ed.
WARNING: do not listen if you don’t like comedy and at-times cringe/potentially offensive humor…
MY FAVORITES: ALISON SPITTLE, PAUL HOLLYWOOD
PARIS
I shot more rolls of film than ever on any trip. Most of the rolls were black and white because this is incredibly cheap for me to process at the moment. Especially with the new Obsidian Aqua developer I’ve been using which is very economical.
All 35mm images were taken on my one true mechanical love, the Canon L3. The perfect street photography camera. The camera I wouldn’t trade for any Leica…let’s not also forget about it’s partner in crime, the Jupiter-12.
Simple and incredibly beautiful.
Currently working on a video for my 35mm Canon L3 street adventures with some lush Paris b roll. I’ll share a few of my favorites images here first though!
I’m actually nearing the email length limit so am going to have to stop there! It pains me a bit because that’s only 1% (well, roughly, I didn’t do the exact math) of the photos! If you want to see more, I’ll be making some videos on Youtube and posting more longer blog articles on eclectachrome.com. :)

That’s all I can squeeze in this week thanks to Substack’s email limit. Until next time!

I will definitely try the Off Menu podcast, Stanley Tucci will be first on my list. Thanks for the tip!
BTW, I finally started shooting my roll or FPP Super Positive over the weekend. I have no idea if I got close on the exposures - how they turn out will be a holiday surprise.
Rad! Stanley Tucci is one of the next ones I have downloaded :) amazing, I need to shoot it asap! Can't wait to see yours! :)
