London on Colorplus and new Leica CL
Some might argue the Minolta CLE is better than the Leica CL. I might also argue this purely due to the shutter dial placement difference between the two cameras, however, it was the Leica CL that surendipitously found itself in my clutches this July of 2022 for a great deal I could not pass up.
And of course, the Minolta CLE does not SAY Leitz Wetzlar on top :)
Kidding!
I purchased the Leica CL as it was a camera I had on my wish list and the opportunity came up to buy it at the lowest price I have seen for this camera and the Minolta CLE in the UK, ever.
As with any new camera, it takes some time and a few rolls to get the hang of it. This one took me longer than most, but that doesn't mean I don't love it. It's that damn shutter dial where my fingers want to go!!
I shot a roll of colorplus in London with this camera and was less than pleased with the many out of focus shots. But, this was because I was shooting it like I used to shoot my L3 with the jupiter 12 lens. Which is a totally different beast to the CL. So once I dug in and really sorted out the best way to shoot the camera, including which strap was best, which was was best to hold it, shoot from the hip or actually focus in the viewfinder?, I started to get shots that I liked more.

The lesson I've learned from this camera is to be patient sometimes with new cameras. If its not great at first, give it a few months, a few more rolls, and then review how you feel about it.
