OK -- I won't compare it to other films or try to figure out what it really is. Just focus on your results. The slight overexposure and bloom filter give it 'peak of summer' vibes to me -- when the sun seems just a little TOO bright -- but that's a good thing! The colors are smooth and not OVERsaturated (just right saturated), even with the 'bright' feel of the photos. And your images posted here are sharp and crisp -- great for the 'basic' scan resolution (why am I paying for the Super Scans at The Darkroom?). So this looks like a film that I would happily shoot if I can get it at a reasonable price. One note -- your last photo of the decks/balconies over the water -- look at the bottom joist/header board near the left end of the lower deck/balcony -- there is a really severe and dangerous crack in the board. Not sure if you can get in contact with the people in that building, but that is very unsafe and needs to be fixed. Cheers!!!

hahah thanks Dana! yeah it definitely does have a mid summer feel with the overexposure and diffusion filter - I usually get the basic scans because they are just as good for web! depends on the lab maybe though - but if you are printing them then maybe the super scans would be worth it? and that's a good catch about the balcony - I don't know the owners but does seem precarious, maybe with the equipement on the deck they are working on it hopefully!

I always enjoy your film reviews! I just arrived this morning in Bermuda 🇧🇲 after a 6 1/2 day sail from Orient NC. I just need to replace a Halyard and refuel.., the Nikon FM2 is great camera and that film turned out great! I’m going to process a roll of Ilford HP5 127/46mm ULF that I shot on the Yashica-44 during the crossing while I’m here in port and copy them with the DigitaLiza.
